Terms of Service

These terms explain how motpod may be used, what users are responsible for, and how subscriptions and AI-generated content are handled.

Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. Service

motpod helps users discover, summarize, translate, listen to, and ask questions about podcast episodes. The service may generate summaries, translated text, audio, citations, recommendations, and related article pages.

motpod is an AI-assisted product. Generated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, mistranslated, misattribute statements to the wrong speaker, omit important context, or be unsuitable for a particular purpose. Users should verify important information with the original podcast or other reliable sources.

Users should not rely on generated output as the sole basis for decisions that may affect money, health, legal rights, employment, safety, relationships, reputation, or other important interests.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. Users are responsible for keeping their account access secure and for all activity under their account.

motpod may suspend or restrict accounts that abuse the service, attempt to bypass limits, create operational risk, or violate these terms.

3. Subscriptions and credits

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions with included monthly credits. Core features are intended to be available across plans, while plan differences are primarily based on usage limits.

Paid plans may include a 14-day free trial during the launch period. Unless canceled before the trial ends, billing starts automatically after the trial.

Credits are a usage unit for costly AI actions. Unless otherwise stated in the product, unused monthly credits do not roll over and have no cash value.

4. Acceptable use

Users must not use motpod for illegal activity, rights infringement, harassment, adult or sexually explicit content, malware, scraping abuse, automated resource exhaustion, or attempts to bypass technical or billing limits.

Users must not submit podcast feeds or episodes designed primarily to drain motpod resources, poison product data, or create low-quality automated content at scale.

5. Podcast rights and public summaries

Podcast audio, artwork, titles, descriptions, and related rights remain with their original rights holders. motpod does not claim ownership of original podcast content.

motpod summaries are intended as discovery and comprehension aids, not replacements for the original podcast. motpod does not publish full transcripts as public article content.

Rights holders may request review or removal of public summaries through the contact page.

6. User content and generated output

Users are responsible for the podcast URLs, questions, prompts, and other content they submit. Users should only submit content they are allowed to process with the service.

motpod may store generated summaries, metadata, usage events, and related outputs to provide the service, improve reliability, support public discovery pages, and manage usage limits.

7. Availability and changes

motpod may change features, plan limits, pricing, supported languages, AI providers, and content policies as the product evolves.

The service may be unavailable or degraded because of maintenance, third-party provider failures, rate limits, or AI processing failures.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

motpod is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, motpod disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, motpod is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including losses, disadvantages, or missed opportunities arising from reliance on AI-generated output.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms, billing, privacy, or rights-holder requests should be sent through the contact page.
